The 2010 annual steam outage is scheduled to start at
6:00 PM on Sunday May 16, 2010 -
boilers will be shut down at that time. Boilers
will be restarted at 9:00 AM on Friday May 21, 2010. Restoring steam
pressure is a slow process and we expect steam pressure to return to normal
over the weekend, with normal operations fully restored at start-of-business
on Monday May 24, 2010.
The
steam outage means that steam will not be available in Molinaro, Greenquist,
Wyllie, Communication Arts, Student Union, Ranger, Facilities Management,
Tallent, Sports & Activity Center, and the
Animal Care Facility for: hot water, autoclaving, swimming pool heat,
gym & Ranger Hall hot showers, room reheat, food preparation,
or any other miscellaneous process that requires steam.
