Meet "The Bug Hunter" during Science Night April 9

Science Night Presents The Bug Hunter April 9

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Science Night series goes on safari for the world's smallest game Wednesday, April 9. The   program, titled "The Bug Hunter," features UW-Parkside graduate and S.C. Johnson entomological technician Chris Talbert.

As part of SCJ's Global Insect Control operation, Talbert collects and rears insects and tests chemical formulations. As part of his job, Talbert has made bug hunts to various parts of the U.S. A 2002 graduate of UW-Parkside, he prepared for his career while at the university during multiple field trips to Jamaica and Costa Rica, studying insects and other wildlife. During this program, he talks about his adventures in the field collecting, studying, and photographing insects and other arthropods.

The Science Night program "The Bug Hunter" with Chris Talbert begins at 7 p.m. in room 101 of Greenquist Hall. High school and middle school students and faculty with an interest in math and science are encouraged to attend. Admission is free and refreshments are served.
