Limited seating available for "Body Worlds" trip

UW-Parkside offers Milwaukee "Body Worlds" trip April 18

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Biology/Pre-Health Departments have a limited number of seats available for a field trip to the remarkable "Body Worlds" exhibit at the MilwaukeePublicMuseum. The trip is Friday, April 18, departing UW-Parkside's Communication Arts parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and returning at 2:30 p.m. Cost of the trip is just $15.

Using a revolutionary preservation process called plastination, Gunther von Hagens' "Body Worlds" exhibit allows visitors to see the human body as they've  never seen it before. Replacing bodily fluids with reactive plastics to preserve human tissue in its natural state, Body Worlds includes more than 200 authentic organs, systems, and whole-body displays. This is a rare opportunity to experience the complexity of the human anatomy.

Body Worlds has drawn sold-out crowds in New York and Chicago. It is currently also showing in Los Angeles, Baltimore, and in Manchester, England. It continues in Milwaukee through June 1.

Seats for the April 18 UW-Parkside trip are available on a first-come, first-serve basis by calling Lisa Lee at 262-595-2327 or through the Pre-Health office in room 345 of Greenquist Hall.
